Who the course is for…

Qualified Emergency First Aiders, health care professionals as well as those in a high risk environment where anaphylaxis medication is available. The course will give participants more knowledge of anaphylaxis and the ability to recognise and treat it safely and effectively.

An ability to recognise and treat an anaphylactic shock (anaphylaxis)

What you will learn…

• About the triggers for anaphylaxis

• To describe and treat life threatening problems associated with airway, breathing, circulation, disability (neurological) and exposure (skin and mucosal changes).

• The need to call for help early

• About the treatment for anaphylaxis, including the use of an auto-injector.

• How to hand over to a medical professional

To do this course you will need…

A minimum of Emergency First Aid at Work certificate. Please contact us if you have a different level of experience and wish to do this course.

Physical ability to perform practical first aid activities, including CPR (please contact us if you wish to discuss this).
