First Aid at Work (RQF)
Who the course is for…
People renewing their first aid skills (who’s FAW certificate is more than 1 month out of date) or people becoming first aiders for the first time.

Ability to:
Assess an emergency situation
Conduct a primary and secondary survey
Do CPR and use an AED safely
Deal with a choking casualty
Manage major bleeding and shock (including anaphylaxis)
Support a casualty who has epilepsy, diabetes or asthma or having a stroke
Deal with burns and poisoning
Deal with minor injuries

To do this course you will need…
Physical ability to perform practical first aid activities, including CPR (please contact us if you wish to discuss this).
No prior experience of first aid.
Learners must be a minimum of 14 years of age but cannot assume a responsibility in the workplace until they reach the age of 16, and then it is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that the student is suitable for that role.
